Mazambala Island Lodge guarantees the quoted price of all arrangements, i.e. room rates, meals, activities, etc., once full payment has been received.

Reservations made in advance, i.e. 12 months or less, are subject to yearly rate increases, if any, if the reservations are not paid in full prior to the effective date of any increase. Rate increases, if any, come into effect on 1 January of every year.


In order to secure a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the quotation price, must be made within 10 days of the quotation date. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Full payment must be made 45 days prior to arrival.

Unless confirmation of payment together with invoice and/or quotation number, is received, any invoice will be deemed not paid.

Cancellations, Refunds and Unused Services

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to the following:

30 to 45 days prior to arrival: 50% of total invoice amount
15 to 29 days prior to arrival: 75% of total invoice amount
14 Days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total invoice amount

No refunds will be made for no-shows or any unused services

Special requests

Special requests, such as dietary requests, must be made at the time of booking. If practically possible, Mazambala Island Lodge will endeavour to comply with such requests, but cannot guarantee that they will be met.

All guests will be required to sign an indemnity form on arrival.
